HD Vs Low Quality

Greetings everyone!

Earlier this year, I wanted to watch a very old movie I had never watched before because I wanted to have a good clue to write a review. It’s a movie released in the early 2000s, and when I entered the website to download it, because I actually prefer download-to-watch, I downloaded the movie quickly from the site. However, when I played it, I was unsatisfied with the quality, and I did not waste time deleting it and went for other qualities. The thing is, it’s an old movie, and I knew that finding one with HD quality was going to be hard. And even if I did, it was going to come with large megabytes. I did not mind; I wanted to have a good watch, not the shabby quality. I downloaded a HD version with almost 1GB but I wasn't shaken.

So this answers the question of this prompt: HD or low quality when it comes to videos and photos?

Some years back, when we were streaming football matches on a particular website, along the line, the site had copyright issues and was taken down. The owners—or rather another group of developers—brought up a similar site with almost the same web name. This new site gave us premium pleasure with HD quality, and the difference told us that, actually, the first one was a copied thing. Although there might be a tendency that the second one was also copied, the quality made it very unquestionable. Unfortunately, the site did not last either.

So this is it: it’s not just only on normal movies from download-to-watch; I also love to have good quality photos and videos when streaming online.

When it comes to photos:

I am among the category of people that sometimes snap photos with other people's phones just for them to send to me via WhatsApp when they get home or are through with editing. The ones whose phones I usually use to snap photos frequently already know that they must send the photo as a "file" and not just the jpegs. This is because, as we know, the WhatsApp app has a way of reducing photo and video qualities. Mehn, I hate it when I do not see the good quality containing the sharpness of a photo that is originally of very high quality. I do not mind how large the file will appear; I just want to have a good and pleasurable view.

In all this, some years back, we were very satisfied with the low quality of photos and videos we were watching then because we did not know there was anything like HD. Thanks to the evolution of technology, which is ever innovating.

Thanks for reading.

This is my entry to Digi-prompts of the week.

Funny fact, I also love HD but when I am downloading video, especially anime, I go for the 340 Mbps because nothing concerns me with HD due to the high cost of data. But when it comes to picture, I always prefer it in HD, not more less, something more.
