AI: Good and Bad

Greetings!

Technology, especially modern-day AI, has made life just sweeter to live. One does not have to ransack their brain anymore to get things done, as every answer to a question is made available directly to anyone. Sometimes I feel like we[those of us that schooled before now) were cheated a lot during our schooling days because, hey, things are now made very easy for students nowadays.

I remember those days when we were given research assignments, where getting books for such tasks was almost impossible. But look at it now—AI can perform a search in just the blink of an eye, providing direct and precise results. Life has become much simpler with the availability of AI. It's not just about making searches, as with ChatGPT; AI has a lot of applications that serve us well.

In football matches, the cameras they're using are now AI-oriented. Cameras can capture every single tiny detail happening on the field. Fields and balls are marked with different chips that help detect if the ball is on or outside the pitch. Wonders of AI!

Three days ago, a lady close to my shop approached me, saying she wanted to write a business proposal and didn't know how to go about it because she had never written one before. I wanted to help her write everything completely, but then I remembered I could show her how to generate it on her phone without stress, which she could do subsequently without asking or disturbing anyone. We used Meta AI on WhatsApp. We asked it to write a proposal with some basic details, and in less than four seconds, it provided one for us. All we needed to do was edit some parts, and that was it—life made easier.

However, even with all the benefits AI provides, there are negative aspects of it too, which are having a significant impact on us, and yet we seem okay with it. Just like I mentioned above about the woman who asked me to write a proposal for her and ended up using AI to generate it, people are now relying heavily on AI and are no longer interested in developing their own capabilities.
As funny as this may sound, this is what has made a lot of people stay off platforms like this because AI-generated articles are not allowed. Because they can't see themselves writing original content from their head, they see it as difficult. The last person I tried to introduce to Hive had this issue. She had agreed to register, but when I told her how originality is required, she dismissed it, saying there's a way she could write with AI and people wouldn't know, which made me laugh.

Well, after everything, she found it challenging and decided not to continue with it. AI is making us lazy, and we are okay with it because it's making life easier.
I wonder who's going to object this fact.

Thanks for reading.

The lazy part ehn especially for the students is worrisome. They no longer read but now depend totally on Ai.

I'm afraid for education in the coming years

That's it.
The future of education is messy already.
Although people in education are praising this introduction of easy-help by AI, they don't know what's up

AI has indeed made life easy for us all but the laziness is another negative outcome because kills our creative thinking ability though this is a personal thing, just like the lady you mentioned.

Yeah, it's good and somehow, dulling our brains.
Normally, we supposed to be smarter than AI.
Thank you for stopping by

Sometimes I say I wish AI was launched whiles I was in school and then I remember the curse of AI. If AI was around that time, I wouldn’t have been able to do a lot of things that I can do now.

Hahahaha!
It's true. Very true.
But, this stage has a lot of ways to manoeuvre things and live on with life
