I give some details on the Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 DG DN ART series lens and why I love it so much.
A lot of my professional and semi-pro work has been on this lens, and I showed some pictures as well, to demonstrate the lovely photos I took with it.

I've used this lens for the past 2 years now, and it's been very reliable.

I did a lot of research before choosing this lens. The alternative choices were the Tamron 28-75mm F2.8 lens and the Sony G Master 24-70mm F2.8.
Most reviews I read mentioned how the 4mm difference between the Tamron and Sony was significant when taking wide angle shots, which made me decide against it. And even though the Sony lens seemed marginally better, it was way too expensive for me.

My friend ordered it from China, along with the Sony a7iii and sigma 50mm 1.4. It took approximately 1 month to reach Nigeria, along with other accessories. Trust me, that was one of the longest months of my life 😅
It's not easy ordering expensive goods from overseas, as there is always a risk they may get lost or go missing

I tested out my setup while I was in a remote village in the Southern region of Nigeria. There was lots of flowers and excited kids to practice my photos with 😄

The box contained the warranty information, user guide, a carry case and strap, and some packing foam as shown in the video. I was really surprised at the size of the box, as this was the first time I would use a full frame lens.

I love the autofocus/manual focus switch on the lens, as it allows you to change mores quickly, without tinkering with the camera settings.
The focus hold button is also very useful, though I haven't gotten used to it yet.
The focus ring is very very smooth, though it is a 'fly by wire' system, which means it may not be as accurate when manually focusing while shooting video.

It has a large filter thread (82mm), which means I have to get larger sizes of filters, like the ND filter.
I really love the metallic construction, as it makes it very durable, but it adds considerably to the weight of the lens.

Overall, I have enjoyed my experience with the lens. It picks focus very quickly (great autofocus), renders colours accurately and pictures are still sharp even when the aperture is wide open.

My major complaint is how heavy it is. I get tired quickly while using it, and it's bulky size prevents me from taking it with me unless it's for professional work.

Doy algunos detalles sobre el objetivo de la serie Sigma 24-70 mm F2.8 DG DN ART y por qué me encanta.
Gran parte de mi trabajo profesional y semiprofesional ha sido en este objetivo, y también mostré algunas fotos para demostrar las hermosas fotos que tomé con él.

He usado esta lente durante los últimos 2 años y ha sido muy confiable.
Investigué mucho antes de elegir esta lente. Las opciones alternativas fueron el objetivo Tamron 28-75 mm F2.8 y el Sony G Master 24-70 mm F2.8.
La mayoría de las reseñas que leí mencionaron que la diferencia de 4 mm entre Tamron y Sony era significativa al tomar tomas de gran angular, lo que me hizo decidir no hacerlo. Y aunque la lente de Sony parecía un poco mejor, era demasiado costosa para mí.

Mi amigo lo ordenó desde China, junto con el Sony a7iii y el sigma 50mm F1.4.
Tardó aproximadamente 1 mes en llegar a Nigeria, junto con otros accesorios.
Confía en mí, ese fue uno de los meses más largos de mi vida 😅
No es fácil pedir productos caros en el extranjero, ya que siempre existe el riesgo de que se pierdan o desaparezcan.

Probé mi configuración mientras estaba en un pueblo remoto en la región sur de Nigeria. Había muchas flores y niños emocionados para practicar mis fotos 😄

La caja contenía la información de la garantía, la guía del usuario, un estuche de transporte y una correa, y un poco de espuma de embalaje, como se muestra en el video. Me sorprendió mucho el tamaño de la caja, ya que era la primera vez que usaba una lente de marco completo.

Me encanta el interruptor de enfoque automático/enfoque manual en la lente, ya que le permite cambiar las costumbres rápidamente, sin jugar con la configuración de la cámara.
El botón de mantener el enfoque también es muy útil, aunque todavía no me he acostumbrado.
El anillo de enfoque es muy, muy suave, aunque es un sistema de 'volar por cable', lo que significa que puede no ser tan preciso cuando se enfoca manualmente mientras se graba un video.

Tiene una rosca de filtro grande (82 mm), lo que significa que tengo que conseguir filtros de mayor tamaño, como el filtro ND.
Realmente me encanta la construcción metálica, ya que la hace muy duradera, pero aumenta considerablemente el peso de la lente.

En general, he disfrutado de mi experiencia con la lente. Selecciona el enfoque muy rápidamente (excelente enfoque automático), reproduce los colores con precisión y las imágenes siguen siendo nítidas incluso cuando la apertura está completamente abierta.

Mi principal queja es lo pesado que es. Me canso rápidamente mientras lo uso, y su tamaño voluminoso me impide llevarlo conmigo a menos que sea para un trabajo profesional.
