Good Girl Gone Bad in School
Many girls leave home as good, gentle, respectful children. Their parents trust them. Their neighbours admire them. Everyone believes they will go to school, study hard, and make their family proud.
But when some of these girls get to university, something changes.
A girl who was once quiet and kind suddenly becomes wild. She starts following bad friends. She starts doing things she never did at home. Sometimes even she cannot explain what happened to her.
At home, she was a church girl. A peaceful girl. A girl who listened.
But in school, after meeting cert
ain boys and girls, she becomes a different person.
Her conscience becomes weak. Her lifestyle becomes strange. She starts going to clubs, joining bad groups, and doing things she would be ashamed to tell her parents.
Her parents don’t know any of this. They still think she is the same sweet girl they raised.
When she comes home for holiday, she hides everything. She behaves quietly at home, so no one will suspect what she truly does in school.
Some girls even stay indoors throughout their holiday just to avoid meeting people who might notice their change.
Most times, it all starts because they want to belong.
They want to feel among.
They want to be like the “big girls” on campus.
Peer pressure pushes them into relationships, clubs, parties, and dangerous choices.
But deep down, many of them regret it.
They know they are disappointing themselves… and their parents.
How I wish every girl would sit down before going to university and think about her future.
How I wish she would remember how her mother and father struggled to pay school fees.
How I wish she would promise herself to focus on her studies instead of following bad friends.
A single wrong decision in school can destroy a bright future.
It can lead to pain, shame, regret, and a lifetime of “I wish I knew.”
Dear girls, remember this:
There is life after school.
The choices you make today will meet you in the future.
Be wise. Be careful. Protect your future.
Don’t let anyone push you into things you will regret forever.
