RE: Happy Mother's Day and the Importance of Expectations

Happy Mothers Day to your mom and my mom and all the moms out there!

You add more value to this world than you can possibly comprehend.

Totally agree. Moms are everything. No moms - no people to comprehend anything.

And on change - it's always happening but the magnitude of the rate of change does change.

The velocity is accelerating. Maybe like being in a car, you don't really feel the velocity. You're moving along steadily at 60 mph but to you, it feels like nothing. Stomp the gas or brake and then you feel the force of acceleration or deceleration!

AI is the current accelerator. Hard to believe its 70 years since John McCarthy, an American computer scientist, officially introduced the term "Artificial Intelligence" during a summer workshop at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire.

Most of the theoretical work was in a fairly modern state by the 80s. But 2 things changed recently - faster computing (partly due to parallel processing in graphics cards) and a bigger data set (the internet). That turned the progress graph into the hockey stick shape we all wish to see for our favorite cryptos.

We're in the right place to handle the change. HIVE has a lot of smart people. Some have tech smarts and some have people smarts. We talk here, mostly respectfully. We don't always agree but we seem to keep talking.

That's a good thing. Let's zoom into the future together. Let's help each other out!

Happy Sunday!

Thank you! You're right and that velocity is going to just keep exponentially increasing. I'm glad AI will has had its first few years of development before quantum computing is perfected and goes mainstream. I think those to things combined would have definitely been disastrous for us. Hive will be a wonderful place to be during this transition! We'll all need lots of support to make it through such massive change. I hope you had an amazing weekend, Kenny!
