Some Facts About Algae Habitats in Botany Part 1.
Hello friends how are you all? I hope you are very well. So let's start my post today I will discuss before you about algae habitat. Hope you all like it. I am a student of Botany and I know very good details about it. In this regard, I am sharing some articles with you.
Algae can be found growing in almost all habitats. Soil, water, mountain slopes, bark of trees, on the surface of plants and animals, or inside the bodies of hot deserts, warm or icy meltwater in polar regions, algae can grow everywhere. Algae can easily spread long distances from its place of birth through different branches and reproduce by adapting to new habitats. . Among these carriers are river and sea currents, the downward flow of rainwater, the bodies of aquatic animals, including waterfowl, and other aquatic animals, which are spread to new habitats by wind currents and reproduce through reproduction.
Algae distributed all over the world are classified under different names based on different habitats. I am sharing some of these points with you. I have divided it into two parts. Today I will share the first episode with you.
- Algae living in water are known as aquatic algae. But aquatic algae are called by different names depending on the type of water.
- Algae of the holy water are the algae that grow in the saltless water of sewers, rivers, drains, ponds, canals, etc., they are known as the algae of the holy water. These algae are most common in our society. Also these algae can be seen in many other places. We can see them with the naked eye. You will usually see most of these algae in rivers or ponds.
- Brackish Water Algae You can see this algae in the mouths of the estuaries of sea-going rivers and the mouths of canals and canals where the tide ebbs regularly. Also, sometimes due to bad weather and sea tides, the salty sea water enters the coastal river channels, so the salinity of the water in these reservoirs is lower than the salinity of the sea water, but slightly higher than the salinity of the rivers and canals. The algae that grow in such salty water. Such algae, known as saltwater algae, are commonly found in brackish water and near the sea, and are the most familiar algae to us.
- Terrestrial Algae are the algae that grow on the soil are known as terrestrial algae. They usually live above the soil and breed and start living there. Although there are hundreds of algae on the ground throughout the year, usually during the rainy season, they are more visible. Due to this, the soil becomes slippery during monsoons. Algae Prescott All the algae living on top of the soil are collectively called edaphytes. In fact, during the rainy season, these algae cause a lot of pain to people, especially for those of us who live in the village, these algae are very harmful because the roads in the village are usually unpaved and these algae grow on them, and during the rainy season, people cannot move on the road.
Special Note:- This was some of my writings on Algae. My own quote about algae habitat. Hope you all like it. My Post I am a Botany student. I am studying in honors first year. Thanks everyone for reading my post because of which I have a lot of idea about it.
I know algae has different names but I am not a biology student
Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us
Thank you dear for this valuable comment.
