Osteoporosis is a particular disease that afflicts people.
Osteoporosis is a type of bone loss that makes your bones very weak. One day, while going down the stairs, the leg was bent and the bone was broken, or the hand was fractured with a sharp blow. Later in the examination, he found out that you have been suffering from osteoporosis for a long time.
Osteoporosis is a type of bone loss that weakens your bones. Due to which it breaks or bursts at the slightest impact.
According to the Bangladesh Orthopedic Society, at least three percent of the country's total population suffers from osteoporosis, and women are more prone to the disease than men.
Bones debilitate with age. No medication or method for halting it has been found. Notwithstanding, assuming that you attempt, diminishing the speed of bone aging is conceivable.
Osteo means bone and Porosis means pores. As such, osteoporosis refers to when there is an excess of porosity in the bones.
More porosity implies less bone thickness. It debilitates the bones. Thus, there is a gamble of breaking bones without any problem. Osteoporosis is the ailment of powerless bones.
Bone has two parts. The upper hard layer is called compact bone. The spongy porous layer inside is called spongy bone or trabecular bone.
Osteoporosis causes the overlying bone, or smaller bone, to become more slender and the supple part turns out to be more permeable or less thick, debilitating the bone.
Bones usually decay on one side and form on the other. If the rate of bone loss is slower than the rate of new bone formation, osteoporosis occurs.
Compact bone structure changes every 10 years and spongy bone every three or four years.
Fundamentally, bones get more fragile with age. which is a typical piece of maturing. Nonetheless, certain individuals have more bone misfortune than ordinary.
As indicated by the UK Division of Wellbeing, human bones are at their most grounded between the ages of 25 and 30. From that point on, the bones start to debilitate.
Ladies will generally foster osteoporosis sooner than men, and ladies are likewise at a higher gamble of creating it.
Especially in women after menopause, the level of estrogen hormone in their body decreases, as a result, their bones start to lose.
Menopause usually starts around the age of 45 for most women. Women who have had their ovaries removed are also at risk of osteoporosis. Again, the strength of these bones depends on the genetic characteristics, eating habits, and lifestyle of many people.
For example, African people have strong bone structure by nature, whereas Caucasians and Asians lag behind.
In addition, people who are not picky eaters, are obese or malnourished, are sedentary, do not do manual labor or suffer from long-term complex diseases are also at higher risk of osteoporosis.
If another member of the family has this disease, there is a risk of getting it in the next generation. If someone has habits like smoking, excessive alcohol and drug use, it also increases the risk of osteoporosis.
If there is deficiency of vitamin D and calcium, if there is hyperthyroidism or hormonal imbalance, due to complex diseases like diabetes, cancer, osteoporosis can occur at any age.Having an eating disorder like anorexia or bulimia increases the risk. Due to these diseases, the patient has no taste for food at all.Side effects of drugs are also a major cause of this disease. Especially taking high-dose steroid tablets for more than three months, taking anti-estrogen tablets that women take after breast cancer.
Usually the bones of the wrist, the bones of the thigh and the bones of the spine are in the weakest state. Again the arms, waist and even the ribs become soft. It has also been observed that due to loud sneezing the patient has fractured ribs, fractured vertebrae in the spine. There is no cure for this disease. However, if it is detected in the early stage, it is possible to reduce the speed of bone loss. The earlier stage of osteoporosis or the early stage of the disease is called osteopenia. If the disease is detected at this stage, it is possible to slow down the rate of osteoporosis with quick measures.
The concern is that there is no way to predict whether you will have osteoporosis. In most cases, the issue only comes to light when a bone is broken or fractured.
In the initial stages of this disease there are no symptoms but when the condition becomes complicated the patient Steady pain, midriff, spine, muscle hurts or muscle shortcoming. In the old, the level is diminished or stooped. Since the spine can't bear the heaviness of the body because of bone misfortune. Along these lines, the spine twists and the body inclines, commonly bones break. The rib confine hangs down.
Osteoporosis is generally not irksome until a bone is broken. In any case, when the spine bone is broken, it needs to languish over quite a while.Specialists call for more accentuation on counteraction than solution for osteoporosis. The risk of this disease increases with age. So be careful in advance. We ask the elderly to lie down. But with age, physical activity is very important.
