I used to be a big fan of the CES back in the 90s, althought I was in Jr High and I wasn't able to attend to a single one. I had the magazines to bring me the reports of what was shown during that time. The infamous Panasonic-Nintendo breakup and the whole drama with SEGA Saturn and Dreamcast.

I always wanted to go to CES, too, but never could. A little later on, I also wished i could go to E3. I remember Nintendo worked on a CD-ROM add-on for the Super NES with multiple manufacturers, each of which was cancelled. The big one was Sony. The result of that fiasco was ultimately the PlayStation.

Yeah, that was the venture with Panasonic which created the CD-I with Phillips instead, but it was quite expensive.
It looked more like a regular VHS player with a CD player instead.
