Understanding Hormonal Balance in Women and How It Affects Overall Health
For every woman out there, the hormonal balance is actually a very important part of our lives. For us, hormones are like our messengers in our body that helped to control a whole lot of things. They helped to control our mood as woman, they helped to control our sleep, our health and even our menstral cycle and also how we gain and lose weights.
Whenever all the hormones in our body are working well, our body feels more stable and healthy. But anything that can make them not to function as they should, the body will begin to show a whole lot of different signs.
The mistake a whole lot of people always make is to think that hormones stay the same all the time. That's not true. Hormones general most especially in females did not stay the same all the time. They change based on the stage and season of life.
There are actually some seasons or let me use the word stage that changed hormones. For example, a season of puberty, pregnancy and even menopause can lead to hormonal changes. I personally have noticed that my mood changes during my monthly cycle because those hormones shifts. That's an example I am talking about.
But even though there is hormonal imbalance, there is the side effects of it that can affect our health as women. Some common signs that can be as a result of hormonal imbalance is irregular periods, frequent tiredness, constant mood swings and for some people, they notice some skin problems.

There are even some hormonal imbalance that can even lead to more serious health issues like polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), infertility, or thyroid problems.
One of the major role that actually determine hormonal balance based on my little experience is the aspect of lifestyle. What do I mean by lifestyle? I mean what we eat, what we drink, how we manage stress and even how often do we have access to quality sleep. All of these things can actually lead to affect our hormones.
Let me use an example. As a woman, do you know that eating too much of sugar can affect your insulin hormones? Not even only that, when you experience too much of stress, it can leads to increase in cortisol which can lead to affect other hormones in your body.
And that's why, I personally always pay attention to what I eat and also making sure I have access to quality rest because I know they go a long way to help my body to stay balanced.
And that is why, there is actually a need for us to undo hormonal balance as woman because it helps to take care of our health much more better. And not even only limited to women alone, even men. You need to pay close attention to your hormones, how it works and how it can always stay balance in order to enjoy a much more better overall health.
