THE CLIMATE CHANGE

The climate is currently in the devastating state. The prolong of rainfall patterns, the excessive Sun shine, the increase of daily warmth, the destruction of the ecosystem leaving some of important animals going extinct are some of the menaces we are facing lately. The continuous jeopardy of the Global environment is affecting many lives. This is becoming uncontrollable since it has been occurring on daily basis. It has become so imperative to take concrete measures to minimize the effects.

Climate is the long term pattern of weather in a particular area. A geographical weather patterns, usually take at least 30 years, are considered as climate. Climate is sometimes mistaken for weather. Weather is the day-to-day atmospheric conditions of a particular place at a particular time. Climate is measured over a long period of time. The Climate of an area includes seasonal temperature and rainfall averages, and wind patterns.

Climate can cause so many effects on our environment. For instance, Climatic change can cause temperature changes, either high temperature or low temperature. Of late the green house effect is causing excessive hotness from the sun. The ozone layer, a structure which looks like a cover of the Net in the stratosphere is noted to have been destroyed. This is also due to the human activities that we cause to the environment; depletion of the forest bodies through burning and bad farming practices. Another effect of the Climatic change is the change in natural rainfall patterns due to excessive drought. The formation of water cycle is through the evapotranspiration that most are generated through Autotrophic plants. During photosynthesis, the emit more oxygen and evaporate through their stomata when there is excessive sun shine. This evaporation later condenses in the atmosphere, cool and rain back on the Earth. If these trees are felled, obviously it affects this water cycle. The disturbance of the ecosystem affects many lives of organisms. Hence many organisms are going extinct. This is due to the fact that they were not many in existential. If the few ones are destroyed it would get to a time that we can’t get any of them.

Human activities increase fossil fuels. Our quest to harness the natural resource for coal, oil and gas to generate electricity, run cars and other forms transport, and power manufacturing and industries. Deforestation, that’s continuous logging of trees for furniture works, plywood and many other timber products relegate the environment to Global warming. The increase in livestock farming can also cause the Climate change. For example when they are dead and decomposed, their by-products emit methane gas which pollute the environment.

It has become vital for Countries to adapt to Climate change since their impacts can lead to so many challenges. For instance the burning of the environment and settlement is becoming too alarming. In this case, communities have set so many measures to help these situations. Some of these organisations are National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO). This organisation support victims of those affected with disaster. We also have National Fire Service Department who are into preventing fire outbreaks and giving education on the cause of fire. Many Communities are also embarking on tree planting projects. In schools and Agronomic department are focusing on keeping the environment at the green state. Currently the technology is advancing, so farmers are adopting new methods of farming that’s introduction of irrigation system to support sustainable vegetation and afforestation. It means that many measures are taking place to curb the situation.
