How I spent My Day- New clinical Unit
Good evening guys, trust we are all having a great time today. Today, I want to simply discuss how my day went yesterday. This time around, I have something special that happened in the clinical posting.
To start, I woke up very early in the morning, did my morning devotion and then commenced my hive article. This took my time as I was editing the article before I posted it. After posting, I left the room to prepare for my clinical posting. Yes, I didn't have much time to revise my books so I had to rush and get other things done . No much time on my side.
Yesterday being Monday, and as well sit-at-home, I knew I was not going to catch the early bus since no many vehicles would be at the pack. So I decided to wait for a bus to come. After some minutes, a bus showed up and hopped in immediately. The bus seems to be a new one and it's speed was amazing. I really enjoyed the drive and I wished that I was going on a very long journey to maximally enjoy the bus.
Well, when I got to the hospital gate, I didn't take a bike to the main hall, rather, I trekked. Yes, I had to since I didn't see the bike guys.
I was sweating already when I reached the hospital. After cleanup, I joined my colleagues in our new unit- women's health and pelvis.
This is my new unit for now and I'll be spending 2 weeks here.
This is one of those units I really want to go to since there are a lot of things to learn here. So yesterday, we had a patient which we are currently managing for vaginal prolapse. This is my first time to witness this condition even though I have come across the term while studying. This patient is old anyway and she was brought to my unit by her daughter who seems to be the caregiver.
We commenced our treatment and took her vitals too. It was a wonderful moment for us students as we discussed the causes of this condition and how to manage it. Thank God we have a patient already and everything theory was done practically that day. It was enjoyable and educational.
After that, our chief in this unit gave us the students' presentation which will be done on Wednesday. So I was given pubic symphysis diastasis. Another wonderful condition commonly seen in women mostly after childbirth. When it was time for us to go home, we were signed out by the interns and we all departed afterwards.
Reaching the gate again, I was lucky enough to get a bus. When I got home, my people were already making palm oil. I was going to join them and assist but before that, I took my lunch. After that, I took the coconut my dad gave me.
Towards the evening, I helped the family with other necessary things that needed to be done and I went to get my books ready in the room. From there I went to bed when I felt tired.
So this was how I spent my day yesterday. A very productive and wonderful day for me.
Thank you so much for your time here. I really appreciate it.
