Will Mars be habitable in 50 years time?

Yesterday I talked about the true target audience of Elon Musk's SpaceX and I got a lot of reaction and comment and one particular one stood out for me.

The comment talked about a particular Australian woman who invested one billion dollars in Elon Musk's SpaceX and trust me more people are going to be doing more.

I heard about an Arabian prince that also bought a share in spaceX a long while ago, and the worth of the investment has basically skyrocketted.

Exploring interplanetary living is something that would be futuristically viable and of course the first landlords to own a piece of that will be swimming in a lot of mad money.

For now, space is just one empty void, of course there's been successful space explorations and discovery in the last 100 years alone, we've barely seen individuals done this, except for government funded expeditions.

For now I don't think going to Mars or whatever planet that are out there (habitable ones) is financially attractive, but this doesn't mean it can't be. One thing about first movers in every opportunities is that they bought into the dream when it wasn't viable or attractive.

Will Mars look like New York someday, perhaps, but maybe this takes another 150 years before it can happen, but will Elon Musk be alive to witness this? Absolutely not, but I guess he'll always get his wishes to be buried in Mars, not that he'll know, but I guess apart from enjoying all the wealth and fame and then becoming the first pioneer of planetary discoveries.

It looks unrealistic

In 50 years time, I don't think it'll be possible for this to happen. I also don't think people will want to migrate to Mars or whatever planet that's out there, except perhaps humans discover planets that looks exactly like Earth, and perhaps the elites would want to leave earth to go live there.

Will there be any reason for people to want to abandon earth anytime soon?

Perhaps an airborne pandemic that wipes out billions of people, or maybe the earth begins to experience massive pollution, or the birth rate begins to to exceed the death rate. For now it's purely business.

The value of spaceX is purely based on imaginary valuations, and wealthy people are only trying to position themselves for when it becomes so big and begins to yield massive dividends.

Also shares will become more expensive not because the value of spaceX has skyrocketted, it's just the basic knowledge of supply and demand that continues to drive the value of spaceX as a tech infrastructure, but then this isn't to undermine what spaceX is all about, like I say yesterday, it's revolutionary, it's a tech infra that's a lot of companies would want to invest on, because of the prospects of what's futuristically possible.

Although I think technological advancement is moving really fast. Three years ago, the usage of AI was basically non-existent, and so far, AI has been able to do even far more than we currently know.

Anything is possible

In 5 to 10 years we might have AI doctors for consultations and maybe in 15 to 20 years time, real AI doctors that can comfortably perform surgical procedures, so who is to say that space living in 50 years time will not be possible, of course it can.

I'm just saying it's an expedition that is filled with a lot of uncertainty which might take even more years of testing, trial and errors to become finally viable, but it's currently cheaper to become a first mover and a pioneer and this is what Elon Musk is currently offering the wealthy elites all over the world.

Branding, sell FOMO

Again, this is why Elon Musk is very much in love with branding and packaging. Without owning Twitter it'll be impossible to push his brand and narrative.

On the platform a lot of stem creators are currently posting videos and long form post about Elon musk, and this is because Elon Musk commenting on their post or seeing the content gives them massive visibility and the potential to earn even more money from the platform, this way.

Elon gets free marketing from his products and the people who owns these contents gets to make money. Without owning or controlling the platform Elon would not have been able to bring a lot of visibility and attention to SpaceX and his flagship AI infra. This is exactly why you don't see contents on YouTube about spaceX, why?

It's not viable, and the regular person has no interest on it. On Twitter, this is the reverse. If you understand Elon Musk's business model then you'd see the pattern: invest heavily in Media visibility, offer FOMO to the elite class (like he's doing with spaceX) and then make money.
