The future of humanity is outside the earth, the earth saw us born, but it can see us die, we can become extinct due to natural causes or by ourselves; in fact, within 30 thousand years (I know, it's a long time) our sun will engulf the earth and all life will be lost; For this reason, it is necessary to look at other worlds and Mars is one of the main candidates for humanity to learn to live in other worlds.

If to the question, if I would like to live on Mars, I will not have enough life to see the necessary conditions for Mars to host humans, much less optimal conditions to say yes, I would like to live on Mars; The cosmos is mostly a hostile place, and even on earth there are extremely dangerous places for humans, for this reason you have to master many technologies to modify environments such as terraforming, among many others.

Some obstacles to overcome

The obstacles are innumerable, because we have not done it, the main obstacle is getting there, it will be quite a challenge, the distance between Earth and Tuesday is 59,000,000 kilometers at perihelion, that is a huge distance, it is like giving 1475,000 turns to earth; It will be the furthest place a human has ever been.

And that is only the beginning, I can name some of them, such as supplies, air, water, atmosphere, climate among many others, but these are the obstacles that we know of, I would be more concerned with the obstacles that we do not know; there would enter the brightest minds to imagine those obstacles.

Characteristics between Mars and Earth.

There are many characteristics that Mars has and that give reason to populate it, the main one is that they are rocky planets, they have an iron core similar to that of the earth; the composition of its bark is rich in iron and hence its color, very similar to that of the earth; in the past Mars contained seas and rivers of liquid water, this has recently been discovered by NASA missions; its atmosphere has the same compounds, but in very different amounts, predominantly CO2 and very little oxygen; this can tell us what happened to that planet and what could happen to us on earth.

Mars can be populated

Of course you do, but before you get there you will have to get there and master the moon, as is being done, once this is done you will have enough experience to get to Mars and master its adversities; of course there will be an interest in doing so, not just for being there, there must be a stronger purpose such as exploiting a resource or for survival, and most likely colonies will be established to exploit some valuable resource and sufficiently profitable to be over there.
