The Ideal radio telescope.

The Ideal radio telescope.

The Seti and other organisms are looking for fossil radio signals because radio emissions are considered to be a part or a phase of the technological evolution of a civilization, we are using them now, we did not know them 200 years ago and we may within 200 years we stop using them because we find another more effective system, perhaps in quantum physics or because we use an encryption system that makes it impossible to connect or decipher those radio signals.

And what they are looking for is those signals that civilizations of the past could emit when they were in that technological phase of emitting radio signals, it is possible that they can be found, it is also possible that we do not have the technology for it because the radio signals are diluted with the distance and end up within the radiation soup that exists in the cosmos, perhaps more sophisticated equipment will be needed, which is why some researchers propose creating a radio telescope on the Dark Side of the moon.

The Hidden Side of the Moon would be the ideal place to install very high precision equipment, since The Hidden Side of the Moon also does not have the problem of radio interference and emissions that occur here on Earth, by the way, the The last proposal was made recently and it is one of the technological complexes that I am sure will be built on the moon.

I think a radio telescope on the Dark Side of the Moon will be done before mining extraction and production laboratories, in addition to other things, become profitable on the Moon.

To find some signal we have to think on a cosmic scale, it is not a civilization similar to ours, a few centuries old, nor a few millennia old, they can be evolved millions of years more than us, for them we can simply be like ants and we have to think big scale.

Setting up a radio telescope on the dark side of the moon will give us a good advantage to catch signals that'll normally elude us. I think with more powerful ones, we can probe far into the universe, in very distance solar systems :)

That's right, I hope they do it and don't let it get lost like they did with the Arecibo telescope.
