The First Spanish American Space Mission

The Peregrine lander mission is underway, the photo is of the module is from Astrobotic and it is preparing to be launched to the moon on a Vulcan Centaur rocket from United Launch Allianc (ULA) acronym of the company that will launch the rocket , the photo is from yesterday December 19 and initially it was planned to launch on the 24th between December 24 and 26 but the rocket company postponed the launch to complete a general rehearsal and has confirmed that the next launch date will be December 8 January.

The Peregrine module carries 20 payloads, commercial and government, including five promoted by NASA, so it is a quite interesting and curious compendium, it is part of the commercial lunar payload services program and keep an eye on the data, because among the payloads that is going to take to the surface of the moon there is one that does not belong to NASA.

It is a set of vehicles that consists of five small roberts explorers from the Mexican space agency, these are Mini roberts from the Colmena mission organized or managed by the National Autonomous University of Mexico, they are the ones that appear in the image, I think it is a brilliant idea .

They are not the first to create mini roberts with the capacity to explore the moon or Mars, it is an idea that other nations are considering, Japan tried it and the ship that carried them crashed, but there are other nations that are trying to develop mini roberts, the The idea is to have many small explorers that can explore the territory in all directions and send information to the astronauts at the base, without having to travel great distances and areas.

And that they work autonomously and agilely, so the Mexican idea seems very interesting to me and that sometimes to be at the forefront it is enough to concentrate on one thing and do it very well, I really like this Mexican project, I hope it turns out well, yes It turns out well, we will see it on February 23, which is the date they plan for this module to arrive on the lunar surface and we will see the Mexican Hive in action.

It would be the first Latin American mission to reach the moon with its own equipment.
