The first space delivery vehicle.
The first space delivery vehicle.

Los Angeles-based aerospace startup Inversion unveiled its most ambitious ship yet, the Arc, the first space delivery vehicle designed to transport cargo from orbit directly to any point on the planet in less than 60 minutes.
At 2.4 meters high and 1.20 meters wide, the Arc is about the size of a large table and weighs just over 200kg. It can carry up to 227 kg of payload and was built to remain in orbit for up to 5 years, waiting for the reentry order. When activated, the Arc re-enters the atmosphere at hypersonic speeds and is capable of sailing up to 1000 km during descent, controlling its trajectory like an aircraft on wings.
Furthermore, by using propulsion with non-toxic materials, it can be handled immediately after landing, without chemical risk or the need for protective equipment. The Arc is an evolution of the Ray demonstration ship launched by Inversion in 2024 in collaboration with SpaceX.
