The birth of the molecule of life.
The birth of the molecule of life.

This is something amazing, for the first time in history, and in real time and on a molecular scale they show how water is created, of course not from nothing, when two oxygen atoms meet a hydrogen atom, and they join together to form that beautiful molecule called water and it is so essential for us.

All this happens of course on a manometric scale, the interesting thing about this process is that it can help us understand and be able to develop strategies to generate water on demand in environments for example arid or even on moons other planets, because we can be on Mercury or Venus or by Ganymede and obviously needing water but we have hydrogen we have oxygen how do we put them together so that water is produced and that it is in the most efficient way, spending the minimum amount of energy possible and the recipe seems to be in palladium.

We are always trying to understand how molecules evolved in here so we can see in other worlds how are the chances to happen the same...it is an amazing experiment reported!
Not only palladium can be a catalyst. Silver, rhodium, platinum and the like can act as a catalyst to a greater or lesser extent. More pressure and lower temperature are needed to obtain water on a larger scale.
