When a star is in an orbit very close to a white dwarf, it runs the risk of the white dwarf stealing its mass, which means that suddenly the white dwarf that should be dead begins to have fuel to carry out fusion reactions. , but it does not do them normally, but rather gives rise to periodic explosions called novae. If the White Dwarf accumulates too much mass, it can even collapse and explode like a supernova.


In the supernova, the White dwarf can be completely destroyed, so its companion breaks free and flies away at the orbital speed at which it was traveling, in addition to receiving an extra push due to the energy of the supernova explosion.




The other option is that the star was trapped in a binary system of black holes and that it was a victim of the three-body problem, being ejected at high speed. To prove some of these theories are true, we must analyze the composition of J1249+36. , because if it is the product of a super nova it means that the explosion would have contaminated it when that White dwarf exploded, all its ejected materials would have splashed onto this star and would have filled it with a large amount of heavy elements, even elements that may be strange in our environment. our knowledge.


If it has all those elements and has that peculiar composition, we can deduce that it has been the product of a supernova explosion and is only 400 light years away, which could be very interesting for astronomers.
