Pero lo que se pretende ahora parece que va mucho más lejos, no se trataría de crear un nuevo videojuego o un portal de acceso a juegos, quieren crear un Metaverso, lo que han definido como el siguiente nivel de la evolución de internet, todo esto es muy ambicioso, pero de momento la iniciativa promete, porque la compañía elegida para crear este Metaverso es Epic Games, los creadores del exitoso Fortnite y el motor gráfico “on real”.


No son los únicos, Facebook está invirtiendo también millones de dólares en realidad virtual pero al contrario que Facebook que ansía el control monopolístico de esta nueva tecnología, éste metaverso nuevo se quiere que sea un estándar totalmente abierto que pueda llegar a reemplazar a la mismísima internet, todo esto suena bonito e impresionante pero plantea muchas dudas, de entrada no hay que ser ingenuos quien invierte millones en algo espera recibir una compensación mayor a lo invertido, es algo lógico así que el metaverso no será para todo el mundo o no será completamente gratis, tendremos que pagar de alguna manera, pero es una evolución inevitable y al igual que internet puede traernos muchas cosas interesantes y positivas, pero también tendrá sus lados oscuros.
