Civilizations with Dyson spheres

A dyson sphere is an object that was developed in science fiction novels in the 1930s, then Freeman Dyson developed the theme, theorized it more seriously and basically consists of a civilization surrounding its star with a network of satellites or a structure, either solid or through a network of satellites to absorb and capture all the energy that that star emits.

It is a dream to capture the greatest amount of solar energy. In practice, a star like the sun would be completely impossible because you would need an amount of material to surround that star. You would have to dismantle entire planets from the solar system to create a complete sphere around the sun. and then it wouldn't be very profitable either, because taking into account that the sun, even if it is a stable star, emits flares, radiation, there would be destruction due to the solar wind, you would have to be constantly repairing that structure, it would be chaos, especially considering that we are already almost about to get power of fusion.

Fusion energy is the same energy that stars produce, why do we need to surround a star and capture its solar energy, in this case that of the sun, if we can create our star the size we want and put it wherever we want, for example in a ship to travel through the cosmos, we do not need to be tied to that star.

But in stars like the sun, in smaller stars and even in larger objects rare as a neutron star, which can measure approximately 20 km in diameter, it might be interesting to surround it with a dyson sphere.

Imagine another extreme case, surrounding a black hole with a dyson sphere. Black holes do not emit radiation, they do not emit light, but in theory they emit Hawking radiation, and around them there is as much production around them as a neutron star or a black hole. strange effects that we still do not understand well and perhaps with a dyson sphere we can capture these effects and obtain energy or obtain other types of things that a civilization more technologically developed than ours can find extraordinary use.

Therefore, if they were created hypothetically to capture all the energy that that object emits, whether it is a small star or a black hole or a neutron star, you close something and you would not capture anything, there would be no way to see it, because it does not emit light, It does not emit radiation and you could not capture it, but there is a study that analyzes the possibility that there are some stars or some objects that are not completely surrounded, such as a ring for example.

That would be an interesting option, for some time they have been proposing to build a ring around the earth to capture the sun's energy, a ring of solar energy, the problem is not so much the construction but how to transmit the energy that is captured to the land, it is a project from many years ago.

Then that star or that object would have to emit a strangely shaped light, distorted because of that ring or that incomplete sphere that surrounded it, it is an interesting study and they have characterized eight stars that have that type of strange, anomalous light, they don't say That there are eight stars with eight dyson spheres, it may be another unknown phenomenon. What they do say is that at the moment this type of star and its strange brightness do not fit with any current model, so this study allows us to first characterize what would happen if they were surrounded by a ring or a sphere incomplete.

It is an indication for observatories like James Webb or others to point to those stars and we can get more data from them to know what is happening.
