Imagine that SETI captures a radio signal emitted a long, long time ago, not for us, but, for example, for a communication between a planet and that established a base or a colony on another planet, and then it has emitted a radio signal or a powerful communication, because the radio and television signals that we humans put in are not going to reach very far, perhaps they will leave the solar system and little else.

They are not going to reach other stars, they are not going to watch our television programs on other planets in the galaxy system, fortunately, because if not, then they can exterminate us, but powerful emissions, powerful radio emissions are a communication vehicle, it is not very fast because they go at the speed of light, but they can be useful in a star system to communicate between planets, as we can use here to communicate with Mars and we can see the photos that they are sending from Mars.

SETI can capture one of those radio signals and then it would be a bombshell, it would be spectacular news, the news that we have been waiting for for a long time and that we humans have been actively searching for, this is an issue that scientists raise very seriously, for a long time, generations, we have the case of Carl Sagan, of Frank Drake, who is the one who developed the Drake equation in 1961 and it has rained, we have Stephen Hawking, Enrico Fermi, who was the one who formulated the Fermi paradox.

If life tends to expand and although it cannot travel faster than light, if they were colonizing from one planet to another, from one star to another, they could statistically do so in about 5 or 10 million years, colonizing all the planets in the Milky Way system, but where is all of them? How come we don't see remains of extraterrestrial civilizations everywhere and spaceships everywhere? If the galaxy has existed for billions of years and there is the possibility of life emerging on all these planets in the galaxy, the latest statistic states that there may be 400 million planets like the Earth, the size of the Earth, orbiting stars like the Sun, not another type of star, but like the Sun in the habitable zone of its system.
