Space perspective first caught the world's attention about 4 years ago, when it announced an ambitious plan, taking tourists to an altitude higher than 30,000 meters above sea level, although this height is not technically outer space, it is above the 99% of the Earth's atmosphere offering an impressive view of the curvature of the planet and the vastness of space.

The concept is simple but fascinating, aboard a pressurized capsule called spaceship neptune up to eight passengers will enjoy a spectacular trip, this capsule will be elevated by a giant balloon filled with hydrogen, rising gently to the desired altitude, the flight promises to be a unique experience 2 hours climbing to the top of the world followed by 2 hours of pure wonder.

Observing our planet from a perspective rarely achieved and finally another 2 hours descending as the balloon gradually releases the gas for a smooth return to earth, if this seems like a futuristic idea you should know Space Perspective is already moving quickly with its plans.

Last year they revealed a test version of the capsule called the Neptune-Excelsior spaceship, although this version was not as luxurious as the final planned model. It was an important step to validate the technology that will be used in future commercial flights, and the company also completed the construction of the Marine Space Port Voyager, a ship that will not only launch the flights but also recover the capsule and balloon from the ocean after the water landing.

It was from this same ship that on September 15 the Neptune-Excelsior successfully took off without a crew from the coast of Saint Pittsburg in Florida, the capsule reached an altitude of 30,000 meters, made a controlled descent and landed safely, being recovered by the Space Port Voyager team.
