JASMINE is the name of the telescope that the Japanese are going to launch and which will be the first ultra-fast infrared astrometry mission in the world. It will be the key to observing stars with extreme precision in the central bulge of the galaxy, which is that dusty area where visible light does not reach well, but infrared rays, because this telescope is going to be specialized in it, can enter and see what is happening in there.

You will find more stars born at the same time and place as the sun and in this way gauge whether that birth zone in the interior, in the core of the galaxy is a special zone where there is a different chemistry, where there are different elements than those in the spiral arms, in the zone where we are now, in the quiet zone, because this would confirm that then the solar system was very lucky, it was born in the privileged place to be enriched with the right nutrients and was able to escape at the right time to be able to develop those nutrients in a quiet place.

JASMINE is expected to be launched around the year 2030 and the one above would be LAPYUTA and is inspired by the Studio Ghibli film Castle in the Sky, which in turn is inspired by the floating island from Gulliver's Travels, which was called that. The point is that LAPYUTA is going to be an impressive project because it is intended for the search for planets with life or with biosignatures, that is, this is going to be the key to analyze those those those stars and search those planets in them that may have biosignatures.

It will be an ultraviolet space telescope, it will be in orbit around the Earth and it will have high sensitivity and a very large area of effectiveness and with the latest technology, it is also Japanese, it will specialize in planets, also like the Earth, rocky planets, it will analyze their atmospheres and look for those biosignatures, those gases that produce life forms and that are the sign that there may be life there on that planet.

You already know that in the end there will be scientists who say, "Well, no, because this could be due to the effect of light, I don't know what, or the geology of I don't know how much," and there will be a debate for many years, years and years and in the end until we send something there to confirm it." And there are scientists who, unless you grab an alien by the neck and show it in front of their nose, they will still continue to doubt, but in principle they would be specialized in looking for biosignatures in those planets.

It is scheduled to be released in 2030, although with the way things are in the world currently, it will probably be delayed by a few years, so the range would be 2030 - 2035.
