Additionally, they published a study on March 11, where they stated that our galaxy is wrapped in a pancake, it is not a good analogy, I have read the research and really the best analogy would be a Neapolitan pizza. because it turns out that what the researchers did was study the galaxies of the local group, they have studied about 31, the Andromeda and a few others, those that surround us, and that the edges of that sheet of dark matter that not only covers our galaxy, but also covers those 31 more galaxies of the local group, that layer of dark matter is enormous, it turns out that the edges are much thicker than the center and that is why those much thicker and denser edges of dark matter pull the galaxies towards the edges.

And this would explain a mystery of decades in astronomy and that is that astronomers did not explain why the galaxies of the local nucleus move away from us, yes, on a large scale in the universe everything moves away from everything, it is the expansion of the universe, but on a small scale of the local group, we are talking about the local group, it should not be like that, gravity should stop this expansion at a small level of the local group, that they move away from us is due precisely to that "pizza" of dark matter that surrounds us, where in the edges, dark matter is much denser.

We don't really know what dark matter is, there are theories, there are speculations, it is much more abundant than normal matter, in fact, there is about five times more dark matter than normal matter, if we do a calculation of everything in the universe, mass and energy, everything, normal matter, baryonic matter, which forms our bodies, our planet, the stars, etc., is between 4.9% and 5% of the total content. of the universe. Black holes, normal ones, those with stellar mass, those that form when a massive star collapses, those are within normal matter, even supermassive ones would fall within normal matter, although we know that supermassive ones also eat dark matter. What could be a solution to dark matter would be the primordial black holes that supposedly all formed during the Big Bang.
