Fusion powered spaceships

It is believed that in a few decades we could already have spaceships with nuclear fusion engines, in 2040 or 2050, which would make trips to Mars much cheaper or we could reach Jupiter, explore the solar system, we could explore with these spaceships, with nuclear fusion engines.

It is believed that with a nuclear fusion engine you could reach between 5 and 10% of the speed of light, it would take you about 45 years to reach Centauri approach, which is 4.3 light years away, but you have to accelerate and then brake and you cannot accelerate suddenly because you would turn into mush due to the G forces and the braking also has to be progressive, so it takes about 45 years to reach that planet Centauri approaches.

It is believed that by 2040 there would already be nuclear fusion engines, and there is a real proposal for Pulsar Fusion, which is a tugboat with a nuclear fusion engine, they would be tugboats that would be in Earth orbit, for example you have your Starship, you leave the Earth in your Starship, you request the service of a tugboat, you pay the tow taxi driver, he pushes you with his nuclear fusion engine and in about 30 days or 2 months at most, you arrive at the orbit of Mars, there the engine is detached, it is installed in its space taxi stop station and you calmly land Mars with your Starship, with the Starship engines, it would be a way to save enormous fuel and speed up travel through the solar system.

The exchanges would be of information, between the Earth and that new planet and perhaps some sporadically commercial exchange of something, it would be the new galactic far west, there was a project or contest, there was a contest to design interstellar ships to colonize other exoplanets, ships were developed, but they were generational ships and it is a concept that I do not think will go anywhere, they are enormous ships, in fact, the one that won was 50 km in diameter.

It is not a concept that works because I believe they are ships that have everything, they reproduce a terrestrial environment inside the complete ship, its crops, its green areas, its forests, ecosystems, everything so that the inhabitants of approximately 2000 humans could live perfectly inside that ship that those who would leave would not be the ones who would arrive, but there they would live, they would have their children, they would die, their children would have another generation again and so on until the end of several generations who would be the ones who finally arrived at that planet that they were supposed to go to. colonize

There is a psychological factor, because it does not make any sense because those who left did have that concept that they were going to a place to colonize, but the great-great-grandchildren would no longer have any motivation to colonize a world. Colonizing a world, transforming a world is something complicated, laborious, complex, full of risks and they have grown up in ships and their parents were raised and their grandparents were raised inside a ship that provides them with everything, with an ideal perfect environment. Why would they risk that? Their home would no longer be that planet they have gone to, their home is the spaceship.

And in any case they could send androids or robots to get raw materials to perhaps expand the ship a little or improve it or touch it up or repair things, but I don't think that generational ships are practical to colonize other planets, to live on it, yes, surely.
