Artificial Intelligence in our daily life

My first post in this community is about a topic that is currently being discussed a lot, it also answers one of the questions of InLeo's weekly initiative #juninleo. An initiative where we can discuss interesting topics every day and also explore and meet new communities.

In this post I would like to share my impressions about artificial intelligence and its impact on our daily life, answering the question:
How do you use AI in your daily life? What interesting ways have you seen people use AI?

Despite the advancement of AI and its increasing presence in society, it continues to be a topic that generates controversy. One of the concerns it generates is the power it has to replace the human mind and its ability to create. If we think about it that way it sounds a bit creepy, doesn't it? 😬

I think this, although it sounds alarming is inevitable, not in the aspect of replacing the human mind, but in replacing our work in many spheres. Technology and of course AI is going to continue to advance in that direction, advancement that so far has been quite accelerated. Although I do not see it as a substitute for man but as a very useful tool that can help and improve life in many aspects.

Nowadays there are many applications and software that incorporate AI to improve their performance and facilitate their use by users. Now, two that I frequently use come to mind. On my mobile, I use Duolingo to learn languages. This is an apk that uses AI to customize its lessons and offer real-time hints, which makes learning easier. Although sometimes it gets pretty insistent, it sends me a lot of notifications if I take longer than a day on my lessons 😂.

I also use the Deepl translator a lot, another tool that has integrated AI. It is even no longer necessary to write what we want to translate, just take a screenshot or take a picture of the text to translate and the AI does it for us, cool isn't it? I am fascinated by all that this technology can do.

There are many more examples like these. Every day there are more and more tools and programs that integrate artificial intelligence for its improvement.

Currently in my country ChatGPT is one of the most used tools by university and pre-university students. With this program, accurate information can be found quickly without the need for extensive internet searches. Although some teachers and professionals consider it questionable, I see it as a useful shortcut to complement school work and organize it better.

This is still a very controversial topic, but I firmly believe that an AI, no matter how much use is made of it, will never replace a good teacher and good teaching in a school classroom. Likewise a digital book will never replace the feeling and pleasure of being able to leaf through a real book.

I know several professionals who use AI tools to complete their work and proofread it, thus ensuring its quality. In this sense it is beneficial.

We still have a lot to learn about the use of AIs, but I am sure that they will help our work and creations to be better and more efficient and their use will increase every day. It only depends on us and our ethics to use them properly as tools to help us improve what we do and not as a means to commit plagiarism or fraud.

So much for my writing on this interesting topic about which there is still much to discuss.

PS: The images I used were created and edited by me in Canva, with copyright free images. Canva, another apk I use a lot, and guess what, it also has AI integrated. It's that we can't dispense with it nowadays, it's already part of our life whether we like it or not.
