Not A Medical Expert But Omega 3 just Helps
I’m no scientist but do a lot of reading and I've mentioned this before. I talked about short bursts of exercises and how it helps make our brain healthier a couples of days ago and that got me in the zone of researching other stuff that helps improve your brain functions.
I found out that something as simple as taking in more Omega-3s could actually help keep our brains sharp as we age because old age is the worst enemy of brain effectiveness.
A recent study dug deep into and I did a little bit of research myself on YouTube. Like I said in my title, I'm no medical expert but only sharing what I've learned from most experts. The researchers found a link between higher omega-3 intake and better thinking abilities in older adults. Again this for the old people who want to keep brain healthier. Also if you're younger and you start early it'll probably benefit you more.
They looked at data from over 2,000 people that were around 60 years and above and they found out that those who ate omega-3-rich foods like fish, flaxseeds and walnuts to mention a few had a higher cognitive test score.
It's not just about how well they remember things, it's about how effective their brain is at thinking or reasoning.
When people lose cognitive skills, everyday tasks become harder to do because you obviously need your mind to do anything. Don't go out and tell people John said Omega 3 is a cure to being slow in mind, not it's not but they could make a very significant difference especially for those with higher risks, like maybe those recovering from strokes. So eating a lot of it won't make you a genius otherwise I would have added it to my entire diet but it helps.
You know what? It's Tim for me to go fish shopping, I'll y'all later
