For this, it's a question of do you have to get certain certificates/diplomas to work in this field...... and yeah it would be challenging to learn neurochemistry outside of specialized schools, colleges, universities, and what have you, so perhaps it's the safest route. If I was you, I'd probably look for online classes and try to do one class at a time, like take it a step at a time, don't try to eat up an elephant in one bite, take baby steps, and make progress every single day.
