An Extremely Hectic First Two Weeks Of January

Greetings Hive family. Where in the world did the first two weeks of January go? It seems they just breezed though without being noticed!

Well, I guess that's what happens if you had and extremely hectic first two weeks of January!

The Christmas break ended on the third. However, even before that, I already started working on several tasks. Including my preparations for my classes.
As a result, I barely have time to write any article. Thus, I missed a lot of challenges in Hive again.

I am teaching computer subjects for four different grade levels, from grades 8 to 11. Fortunately, I was able to sync my topics for Grades 9 and 11. These are our topics for each grade level.

• Grade 8 - Scratch programming
• Grade 9 & 11- Graphics Design, currently we are studying vector images using Photopea.
• Grade 10 - Mobile App Development using MIT App Inventor 2.

As for Grade 8 and 10, we are learning to create a simple game like "Catch the Eggs" game. What I want them to learn is to understand the different concepts of gaming so they can design their own.

Don't expect them to create something sophisticated though. hehe.

Sample Output and Video Tutorials

As part of my preparations, I have to make sample output for my students. Then, aside from the handouts, I also have to create video tutorials.

Hug in a Mug

I am currently working on the video tutorial for this one. The goal is to create a mug using vector shapes in Photopea

Catch The Eggs

This is based on a classic (and I mean CLASSSIC) video game where you catch the falling eggs. We already have started creating this but we need to do a lot of things

I am still working on these tutorials. This week, I am adding voice over/captions for the instructions. Honestly speaking though, I am not confident in using my own voice, so I am using a text-to-speech app instead.

I will share with you the output soon and maybe the whole process of creating them.
