Yes, artificial intelligence does not really think like humans and is very different. But it is not that smart.

Exactly! The most useful AI tools will recognize when to switch to a more straightforward method for tasks like counting.
But that would require adding ad-hoc code patches outside of the technology that AI researchers want to work on.

For years, I've noticed a similar problem in machine translation, which is also based on processing large corpuses of text. Mistakes often appear in tags that should remain the same in the translation.
