Blockchain, un honor a la escritura [esp] [eng]

En el pensar filosófico sobre la blockchain me ha venido el siguiente pensamiento: el ser humano se expresa por sus palabras, la escritura es la expresión escrita de las mismas y la blockchain hace que esta escritura permanezca inalterable en el tiempo, por lo que, podríamos decir que la tecnologia blockchain se comporta como una especie de evolución de la escritura, dándole el reconocimiento debido, puesto que ahora tiene una mayor certeza de que lo que sea plasmado a través de ella permanecerá inalterable en el tiempo, ahora sí podríamos decir con mayor propiedad "lo escrito, escrito está."
Nos encontramos, pues, ante algo maravilloso, que se alimenta precisamente del poder que tiene el ser humano de expresarse, por lo que vale la pena que reflexionemos con lo que podríamos llamar el triple poder, uno que en nuestras manos está usar de la manera más sabia posible:
Poder de la palabra
Nunca antes como ahora, en esta etapa de mi vida, he tomado tanta conciencia del poder que puede tener el ser humano por medio de sus palabras en los demás. Siempre me ha impresionado, por ejemplo, el liderazgo negativo que Adolf Hitler tuvo en tantos hombres y mujeres haciéndoles seguir ciegamente una ideología racista y discriminatoria en muchos aspectos. La fuerza que tenían sus palabras, fue causante en gran medida para afianzar su liderazgo.
Lo mismo sucede en un plano más constructivo y positivo, pensemos en el gran impacto que para la construcción del bien en el mundo han tenido las palabras de personajes del tamaño humano de: Gandhi, Mathir Luter King, Jesús de Nazareth, etc. Vayamos a un plano más personal y cercano y pensemos en el poder que las palabras dichas por otras personas han tenido en nosotros, cómo nos han motivado y dado una dirección a nuestras vidas, incluso pensemos en las palabras que nos decimos a nosotros mismos, ya que definen la manera cómo nos vemos y proyectamos en medio de los demás.
Poder de la escritura
La historia nos enseña que uno de los grandes inventos de la humanidad ha sido la imprenta, ya que permitió palpar literalmente lo que significa el poder de la escritura, que nos permite entre tantas cosas, llegar más allá de donde incluso nos podemos imaginar, en efecto, hagamos un viaje en el tiempo cuando no existían muchos medios de comunicación, pensemos en un naufragio que lleva a uno de los sobrevivientes a una isla desolada, éste contra toda esperanza toma un papel, escribe algunas palabras de auxilio, lo dobla, lo introduce en una botella y lo lanza al mar cona esperanza de que llegue a alguna persona...
El alcance que a la palabra hablada o pensada da la escritura es por ello impresionante, ya que es la posibilidad de que en un mismo instante estemos llegando a varias personas distantes entre sí, no sólo en el plano espacial o geográfico sino también desde el punto de vista del tiempo, es lo que pasa con los testamentos o libros de las personas. De allí, la ineludible verdad de esta oración latina: "Verba volant, scripta manent", esto es, las palabras pasan pero lo escrito permanece.
Poder de la blockchain
La tecnología es la que hoy en día está en la vanguardia en lo que respecta a la evolución del ser humano, en efecto, en muchos aspectos nos marca la dirección de hasta donde somos capaces de llegar. La tecnología blockchain es actualmente uno de los avances más significativos y lo es, siguiendo la línea de lo que venimos desarrollando en este post, porque ha permitido que el poder que ya poseemos de expresarnos no sólo tenga alcances insospechados sino que tengamos una mayor seguridad de su permanencia veraz en el tiempo, pues, la inmutabilidad de los bloques que conforman una red Blockchain nos da esta certeza. De allí la importancia de los protocolos usados para blindar este aspecto técnico, sea PoW, Pos, DPos o algún otro protocolo, lo esencial además de la efectividad del método a usar es la transparencia de la red.
Traer otro ejemplo a colación puede ser de ayuda, recuerdo que una vez en clases nos dijeron que toda traducción de textos lleva, aunque sea mínimamente, una traición al mismo, y es verdad, puesto que detrás de todo traductor está una persona con una interpretación propia de las cosas, la cual incluso inconscientemente queda en el texto que traduce. Esto en blockchain se puede evitar, ya que no sólo contamos con la inmutabilidad de los bloques y sus datos sino también con la descentralización de los mismos, es decir, ya no depende de una sola persona la interpretación sino del conjunto de varios participantes incluso del autor original, lo que nos ayuda a resguardar más y mejor la objetividad de los hechos.
Es ésta la razón por la que creemos que blockchain es un honor a la escritura, porque permite que con lo que con ella queremos expresar se mantenga tal cual, según su sentido originario. Por ello, si uno realiza un Smart Contract y necesita modificarlo, debe realizar otro, si está montado en la Blockchain no se puede sobre escribir.

In philosophical thinking about blockchain, the following thought has come to me: the human being expresses himself through his words, writing is the written expression of them, and the blockchain makes this writing remain unalterable in time. Therefore, we could say that blockchain technology behaves like a kind of evolution of writing, giving it due recognition, since now it has a greater certainty that whatever is captured through it will remain unalterable in time, now we could indeed say with greater propriety "what is written, is written."
We find ourselves, then, before something wonderful, which feeds precisely on the power that the human being has to express himself, so it is worth reflecting on what we could call the triple power, one that is in our hands to use in the wisest possible way:
Power of the word
Never before have I been so aware of the power that human beings can have through their words on others as I am now, at this stage of my life. I have always been impressed, for example, by the negative leadership that Adolf Hitler had on so many men and women, making them blindly follow a racist and discriminatory ideology in many aspects. The force of his words was largely responsible for strengthening his leadership.
The same happens on a more constructive and positive level. Let us think of the great impact that the words of such human-sized figures as Gandhi, Mathir Luter King, Jesus of Nazareth, etc., have had on building good in the world. Let us go to a more personal and close level and think of the power that the words spoken by other people have had on us, how they have motivated us and given direction to our lives, even think of the words we say to ourselves, as they define the way we see ourselves and project ourselves among others.
Power of writing
History teaches us that one of the great inventions of humanity has been the printing press, as it allowed us to literally touch what the power of writing means, which allows us, among so many things, to reach beyond where we can even imagine. In fact, let's take a journey through time when there were not many means of communication. Think of a shipwreck that takes one of the survivors to a desolate island. This person, against all hope, takes a piece of paper, writes some words of help, folds it, puts it in a bottle, and throws it into the sea with the hope that it will reach someone...
The reach that writing gives to the spoken or thought word is therefore impressive, as it is the possibility that at the same moment we are reaching several people who are far apart, not only in the spatial or geographical sense but also from the point of view of time, which is what happens with wills or people's books. Hence, the undeniable truth of this Latin sentence: "Verba volant, scripta manent", that is, words fly away, but what is written remains.
Power of blockchain
Technology is what is at the forefront of human evolution today, indeed, in many ways it sets the direction for how far we are capable of going. Blockchain technology is currently one of the most significant advances, and it is so, following the line of what we have been developing in this post, because it has allowed the power we already possess to express ourselves not only to have unsuspected reaches but also to have greater security of its truthful permanence over time, since the immutability of the blocks that make up a Blockchain network gives us this certainty. Hence the importance of the protocols used to shield this technical aspect, be it PoW, Pos, DPos, or some other protocol, the essential thing besides the effectiveness of the method to use is the transparency of the network.
Bringing another example to mind can be helpful. I remember that once in class we were told that every translation of texts carries, though minimally, a betrayal of the text itself, and it is true, since behind every translator there is a person with their own interpretation of things, which even unconsciously remains in the text they translate. This can be avoided in blockchain, as we not only have the immutability of the blocks and their data but also their decentralization, meaning that the interpretation no longer depends on a single person but on the set of various participants, including the original author, which helps us safeguard the objectivity of the facts more and better.
This is why we believe that blockchain is an honor to writing, because it allows what we want to express with it to remain as it is, according to its original meaning. Therefore, if someone makes a Smart Contract and needs to modify it, they must make another one; if it is mounted on the Blockchain, it cannot be overwritten.
