Visit to El Cubano

Hello friends of #Pinmapple, today I share with you some photos taken this weekend when we visited Al Cubano, it is a restaurant that is in the middle of the countryside, where there are several ranches, to have lunch, rest and enjoy of the nature that surrounds us.

It also has a suspension bridge of several meters that we must cross to be able to travel the routes that the slaves took during the colonial era and that have become part of local tourism, among them we have the Path traces of history.

The first part of the tour is the arrival at the Los Almendros complex, which includes all the ranches, a point of sale for drinks and food, and other services provided there. There we took a short tour of the facility and its surroundings.

After familiarizing ourselves with the surroundings, we began the jj tour, first along the Hanging Bridge which we had to cross to begin the tour along the Footprints of History Trail, a route of more than 3km, whose history dates back to colonial times in which this path was traveled by thousands of slaves who slept in the barracks established here and who had to go to the Valley of the Ingenios to work in the sugar cane harvest.

They made this route daily to go to work and to return to rest. Over the years this route became part of the complex and the attractions it offers to its visitors.

After walking the trail we return to have lunch at the Restaurant El Cubano, which is nothing more than a ranch, without walls, with a guano roof (characteristic of our culture, and peasant history), which makes it easier to interaction with nature.

Here we all sat at a long table where we prepared to serve ourselves at the buffet and enjoy a delicious Creole meal...

The trip was spectacular, something to repeat... with excellent services and attention... in addition to being able to enjoy the delights of nature.

I hope you enjoy the photos

Greetings and blessings
