Hello friends... today the photos that I share with you are very different from those of previous publications, today you will learn about the Museum of Contemporary Cuban Art of Topes de Collantes.

This museum is located in an old house from the 40s, which belonged to a governor of the Cuban island, a close friend of Fulgencio Batista, who in his time as president of Cuba built a hotel in this area, due to its geographical location and curative properties. of the place, and near this hotel his governor friend built his house.

After several years of repair, it was decided to use it as a Museum of Contemporary Art, where more than 60 works by plastic artists from the 80s of the last century are exhibited. We can also see 4 marble sculptures in the outer gardens that represent the seasons of the year.

Inside we can see the collection made up of oil paintings, murals, sculptures, installations and engravings by artists such as Flora Fong, Nelson Domínguez, Pedro Pablo Oliva, Zaida del Río, Manuel Mendive…among others.

I hope you like the photos.

This museum is divided into 2 sections, a ground floor where the works exhibited here can be considered "more abstract" than those on the 2nd floor, in this section we can also see perfectly preserved furniture from the period.

Going up the stairs we can see works of different manifestations of plastic, and for me, the most beautiful in the gallery, we can also see a section dedicated to a photography contest that takes place every year in this town, where nature is the Main protagonist.

Greetings and blessings.
