RE: Change, Authenticity and Being Left Behind…

Don't forget that we can become so resistant to change that we tolerate otherwise-intolerable things just because change is such a concern. My library district has been growing more toxic for years at the administrative and board of trustees levels, but I liked my co-workers and patrons, so I stayed longer than was healthy for me. I don't know what comes next, but the stress is fading at long last.

I also use Facebook a lot less now that I don't need to be on the local news and event pages to promote library services. I don't miss the wider toxicity there. Facebook has been changing constantly since I started ages ago, usually for the worse. So much drama, hate, and blame festers in the feed. I'm basically cutting it off over time.
