Hello Stemsocial Community!! Welcome to my blog everyone. March 23, is an important historical day in the history of Pakistan. On March 23, Pakistan Day also known as Lahore Resolution Day is celebrated every year. The significant occasion the Lahore Resolution took place on March 23, 1940 a landmark event that leads to creation of Pakistan separate homeland for Muslim of Subcontinent.
On March 23, 1940 a resolution for separate homeland was been adopted in Minto Park Lahore. The park is renamed as the Greater Iqbal Park located in Lahore. Lahore Resolution basically was an adoption of resolution for separate homeland. It was presented by A.K Fazalul Hak in annual session of All India Muslim League held in Lahore in March 22, 1940.
Historical Background Of Lahore Resolution :
In the early 20th century, Sub-continent was under British Rule and Muslim were second major nation of British India. Muslim political movement started struggle for Separate Electorate and political rights of muslim after partition of Begal on October 1905. All India Muslim League became strong political party after Jinnah joining in Muslim League in 1913.
Since the foundation of All India Muslim, the main demand of muslim nation was protection of their political rights, economic rights and religious freedom. Muhammad Ali Jinnah was known as the embassador of Hindu Muslim Unity and he was joint member of Muslim League and All Indian National Congress.
Despite Round Table Conferences from 1930-1932, British ruler failed to promulgate an agreed constitution in Subcontinent. Muslim League parted their way towards separate home with adoption of Lahore Resolution that lead to separation of British India into two separate entities in 1947.
Reflections on the nation's journey from struggle to independence :
In British India muslim nation ws deprived of political rughts, economic opportunity and religious and cultural freedom. Muslim face injustice and oppression by Hindus and other nations of subcontinent. Urdu language and culture of muslims threatened badly.
