I think you need to make some time to do analysis with the project rather than delaying because if the same thing repeat again and again the another person may get irritated. It may creating bad impression on you.

It can create, but I warn them most of the times. First thing I ask, "do we have a deadline to finish that?" if the answer is no, I explain a bit the current situation.
