Easy access of information is a blessing

We are living in a world of technology, and because of advanced technology, our life has become easier and more comfortable. Accessing information is super easy because we can get any information with just a few clicks. We are lucky to have advanced technology.

Whenever we are curious to know something, we have Google or YouTube to know more about it. Moreover, now we have AI tools that can help us to access all kinds of information within a short time. AI is a trending topic at the present moment, and it is very helpful to save our time. In fact, some people are thinking that in the future AI may replace the Google search engine. Let's leave the thing to the future. I am not going to discuss how easy it is to get anything online because all of us know about it well.

In the past, the situation was different. Finding information and gaining knowledge was not so easy like the current time. People need to visit libraries and travel to many places in search of knowledge. People need to make a good amount of effort for it. Supposedly, to find an answer, one needs to read many pages of a book to know the answer until they find the answer in the past, and for that, people need to read many things even if it's not necessary, but it helped them to gain more knowledge. But now we can get the exact answer. We don't need to trouble ourselves to read other things unless related to the question. But it can save a lot of time.

Does it mean people in the past time were more knowledgeable compared to us? I don't think so because knowledge has nothing to do with how much effort one makes or how much creative one is. Suppose in the past some scientists did something significant, and they are experts only in one field, but I can say that I am more knowledgeable than those scientists because I know about all the knowledge they shared in my mind, although I am not so creative like them.

In the case of smart, many people think that our and ancestors were smarter than us because they were very creative and they made huge efforts. In that case, I just want to ask what smartness means. I think that those people are smart and can complete the same task within a short time with minimum effort. So I think our generation is quite smart and bold compared to the people of earlier generations. Suppose my father and many of his friends want a stable life and they think keeping their money in the bank is the best thing. They never considered inflation, but in the case of my friend's case, we are well aware of finance. We have a better plan, and we love to do invest rather than keep money in the bank because it's not beneficial considering the inflation. So obviously we are smarter compared to our earlier generation. What makes us smart? obviously, it's the knowledge we gained from online.

Let's talk a little bit about creativity. I know that many have become lazy because of getting everything very easily, but I think there are many people who are trying to take the bastard front page of information, and it's helpful for their creativity. We have automatic machines, robots, AI, and so many things right at the moment. If we are not creative, then how are those things invented?

I can only agree that our ancestors or earlier generations made a lot of effort but we are better than them almost in every case. How there are some advantages to getting access to information so easily, but there is no doubt that we are the best compared to them, and there is no doubt that our future generation will be much better than us. So getting access to information easily is a kind of blessing in my eyes.

We can reach the world within a blink of an eye. Technology has made it better for everyone, most especially when you search through the internet.

Hmmm...
This is a point I didn't consider. These days, you don't need a degree in finance for you to have the basic knowledge about economics. I've never studied anything relating to banking, but I know all about loans, inflations, dividends, and all that. I also know trading and how to watch the market. In the not so distant past, only professionals could do these.

You've spilled facts. People of old We're smart, but we're smarter, and with how fast technological advancements go, those who would come after us in future generations would be considered smarter than we are.

I'm currently on my third book this month. Before, I'd probably have had to make multiple trips to the library and jump through multiple hoops to access those books. I'll say the easy access is a blessing to me.
Maybe not so much to lazy people though.

With the advancing technology, information is at most people's fingertips, they say and it's true. We only need to filter what information we take and discard. Interesting thoughts on which generation is better. 😉

In fact, now is the future. These days, I prefer to ask AI questions and invoke more conversations with it and I would be clear in such. That's the future.

Yes, I would also say our ancestors were smart in their own ways because they made use of the available resources and become creative and smart. But today, our generation have a lot of tools to make us more smarter and intelligent, only if we apply those knowledge learnt through them.

This is the leverage we have today, easy access to information.

I agree, it's a blessing. But as long as we know how to use it, otherwise, it can be a distraction. Like what we saw in the recent protest, information was crucial at that moment and we used it correctly.
