Alternative Ways of Healing
I have been suffering from autoimmune diseases and I learned about them only in 2019 when I was studying in Manila. Thanks to my health card for covering all my lab works and medical examinations!
I had been feeling pain on my chest, shoulders, lower back, hands and feet every morning. I was recommended to see a physiotherapist at first, who scheduled a physical therapy twice a week for my shoulders, but it didn’t help me at all. I then consulted a cardiologist, but all tests and exams were normal, so she endorsed me to a rheumatologist. Later the rheumatologist saw that my vitamin D level was low, and I got a positive result for the ANA (Anti-Nuclear Antibody) test. She prescribed me to take 5000IU of vitamin D every day. While on medication, I had to go through another blood test because the rheumatologist suspected I had lupus. Thank God, the lupus panel test turned negative!
Come 2020 when I was back home in Mindanao, I stopped the vitamin D since the pain on my feet and hands went away. After a while, it came back so I had to see another rheumatologist in Davao. After sharing my medical history, he said I had fibromyalgia. That was the first time I heard about that ailment.
Mayo Clinic defines FIBROMYALGIA as “a disorder characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain accompanied by fatigue, sleep, memory and mood issues. Researchers believe that fibromyalgia amplifies painful sensations by affecting the way your brain and spinal cord process painful and nonpainful signals.”
Coincidentally, I saw a college friend, who was based in the U.S.A, post about her health issues on her Facebook wall so I messaged her because we had the same symptoms. She told me she had fibromyalgia. She was also advised that the pain that fibromyalgia gives will be lifetime as there is no cure for it, although t it can be managed. Hearing this was disheartening but I knew I had to help myself.
So, instead of listening to all that doctors had to say, I looked for alternative ways of healing. I came across Prife Interational and Itera Care while I was scrolling on Facebook, and it got me interested because I recalled that Albert Einstein once said that the use of frequencies will soon be the cure to all illnesses. After all, he said, there is a relation between our energies and our health. This was good news to me since I do not have to drink any medicines that would probably hurt my kidneys. It’s just about a blower emitting hot air that would allow our bodies to self-heal.
As the “blower” was being marketed here in the Philippines, I realized it was so expensive. How can it help if I cannot even afford to buy it? Good thing, there was someone from Davao who opened a clinic and allowed not purchase of the item but scheduled treatments. She offered a single treatment for Php 500.00 pesos only or a package of Php 2000 for 6 sessions. Very reasonable, I thought, so I tried it.
The first time I went there I was told to drink 2 glasses of water which was heated by a blower. It was a protocol to drink treated water first before using any of their machines. After which, the staff asked me to do minor movements of my hands and arms before she’d start blowing.
The first device I experienced was their IteraCare Classic. The usage of this type of blower should only be for 1 hour per day only. The important thing is all points in the body must go through the heat emitted by the blower. If bought, the price is Php 19,9500.00.
On my next visit, we used the IteraCare Premium. This type of blower can be used for a maximum of 3 hours per day. If bought, the price is Php 37,500. On my third visit, I was able to try the IteraCare Pro which can be used for 5 hours per day, and the price is Php 199, 950. Please take note, the length of time of usage of each type of blower does not mean it should be used on 1 patient only.
Whatever type of blower you choose to use must be focused on a specific body point for 2-3 minutes at a distance of at least 6 inches from the part being treated. The blowing typically feels like that of blowing your hair to dry it.
So what is the difference between these three blowers? First, the length of time of usage as I have mentioned above. Next, the Classic and Premium cannot be used to focus on the head, face and nape of those who have high blood pressure because of the heat. The Pro is safer to use because it has cool/cold settings.
After 30 minutes of blowing sessions, a patient needs to step on another of their gadgets, the BioLite. This was also interesting! There are levels of frequency that you can choose from, but ultimately, the frequency penetrates and blocks the clogged nerves from our feet up. If something is wrong with the body the feet start to feel heat as if the machine is the one that is hot but it is not! After 30 minutes of usage, you will perspire so much! The more heat you feel the more your body is getting healed. True enough, during my next visit, I felt less heat already.
I noticed I felt heat on my left foot, and it went up near my left knee. The clinic staff said the left part of my body probably has a problem. I do not know if this has something to do with the stroke, I had 20 years back because the clotting was seen on the left part of my head.
Anyway, every after session, the treatment gives me a really good sleep at night.
I continue to visit the clinic whenever I feel bothered about my health. It feels good that the new inventions of the latest technologies have reached the Philippines particularly Mindanao. Thanks to social media. It gave me an idea for alternative ways of healing.
