Names

We often say that names have power.

In fantasy novels, they often do. Like Earthsea.

And in Doctor Who, much is made of how we don't know The Doctor's name.

And in myths and legends, a magic-worker knowing your name has power over you (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/True_name).

Names do have power. It's a subtler power, but they do. We feel when someone says our name (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1647299/#R5)

Why? Well, I was going to analyze it, but a quick Google search tells me everything I was going to say has already been said.
