Watched the moon through a big telescope

It is unbelievably difficult to take good photos of the moon through a telescope that was not designed for a phone camera to be pointed at the optical piece. The photos I took do not make justice to how gorgeous and detained the moon looks through such a big telescope.

The telescope is very big. It is a Newtonian and equatorial telescope (with mirrors and that follows whatever you point it at). I forgot the diameter but it is big. Took a photo of me next to it. It is not huge, like those used to investigate deep space, but I found it very interesting to how detailed the image is when looking through it.

Thanks! I take pride in the hair, although it is only the second time I let it grow like this. Started during the pandemic to "physically measure time" but I ended up liking it. Since the pandemic ended I am considering cutting it to donate to a cancer hospital (that is what I did last time)
