IS SPENDING MONEY SUCH A BAD THING?

I realized there's so many advice on why spending money isn't always a good idea even though most of our daily lives are transactional and in one way or another it involves spending.

I think the focus shouldn't be on whether or not to spend money, but rather on what you're spending the money on.
No one is going to fuss over me spending money to get a meal, but there might be eyebrows raised it that meal costs me a $200. I'm still spending money but the context changed immediately the whole facts were revealed because I absolutely do not need any meal worth $200.

I guess it's all about context then.
If I can't do without spending money, then the real problem is on how it's being spent.
A lot of times we spend money on things we don't actually need or isn't really needed at that moment. If there's such a thing as bad spending, then this is exactly how I would classify it.

It's easier to stop bad spending habits when you've worked out a budget on how much goes into each particular part of your expenditure. This way you won't overspend on the silly things first and you're not left stranded with no way to fulfill the important bills.

I get that sometimes just buying something for spending sake gives you a good feeling, but other things should've been considered first.
Spending money isn't a bad thing, it's bad spending habits that's the actual problem.
