This creature is called Coconut Rhinoceros Beetle (Oryctes Rhinoceros) or commonly called Uwang here in the Philippines. It is currently in it's 3rd instar larvae stage❤️
You're right po sir, although Salagubang is already a generic name for beetles, and Uwang is specifically used in Rhinoceros Beetles which I wasn't able to take account. Thank you for the correction and information you've added to my vocabulary very much appreciated✨
Welp this insect doesn't live in the underground. They are pests that lives in coconut trees. The white color is defenitely part of thier metamorphosis, the one shown is currently in it's larvae form when they become adults, thier color changes to black and transform to beetles✨
Nope, salagubang is June beetle... rhinoceros beetle is called uwang.

yes i find big beetle larvae like that whej i dig too its a good sign usually unless theire harmful pinetree killing beetles of course

i bet if u raised that beetle u could actually sell them for good money in the us lol but trading exotic insects may be risky
