I saw this type of marketing in other types of businesses as well! Black Friday in north America works like that nowadays... in tour packages, or even appliances lol. Many companies have messed up systems.. I don't know if you remember a case with KLM I think when they sold a specific flight tickets for 1 euro lol ( I think it was that if I remember well).
