Let's continue our Math Brain Teasers 26 series with Pattern finding. At times we are eager in our life and have this question in our mind:: What's Next? In a similar fashion, this Maths Brain Teaser is around:: Patterns the numbers & What comes next?

Can you work on finding what should replace the question mark? I guess we wouldn't want the hint here as this is a simple maths pattern identification question. But; if you still require a hint let me know in the comment box and I should provide you with one hint to solve this maths puzzle.

Math Brain Teasers 25:: Patterns - Square; Circle & Triangle?- Solved with Explanation

  • Step 1 Add Up Numbers in Triangle; Square & Circle Separately

  • Step 2 Let's take the example of Numbers in Triangle::

18 + 11 + 4 = 33

  • Step 3 Numbers In Triangles & Circle all Add Up to 33

Finally, the Numbers in Square should also Add up to 33

8 + 19 + ? = 33

8 + 19 + 6 = 33

Hence the answer to the Math Brain Teasers 25:: Patterns - Square; Circle & Triangle is 6

Hello a pleasure is to meet this kind of challenges, the pattern for this series is 6.5, it would be like this:

100; 93.5; 87; 80.5; 74; 67.5; 61; 54.5; 48; 41.5; 35; 28.5; 22;

And so on.

The difference between each of the consecutive terms increases by 6.5 per iteration. This leads to a difference of 32.5 for the last step resulting in:

2.5

Answer is 2.5

Explanation

100 - ( 6.5 * 1 )= 93.5
93.5 - ( 6.5 * 2) = 80.5
80.5 - ( 6.5 * 3 ) = 61
61 - ( 6.5 * 4 ) = 35
35 - ( 6.5 * 5 ) = 2.5

Answer is 2.5
The pattern is that.. every time multiples of 6.5 is being subtracted from the last number such as 100-(6.51)=93.5, 93.5- (6.52)=80.5, then 6.5*3 is subtracted and so on... giving the final answer 2.5
