The $300 Linux Gaming PC

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

This is my first semi-serious video so I had some trouble getting it just the way I wanted, but it turned out pretty fine in the end. I'm quite proud of how it turned out.

In here I try a variety of games like Cyberpunk, GTA IV and V, CSGO, Doom Eternal on Fedora Linux 38 running under a weak old H61 socket 1155 i5 2310 and a RX 570 being held up by an eraser/rubber so it doesn't sag on the motherboard.

I use a Chinese bootleg wifi adapter for internet because the motherboard only supports 100mbit networking, luckily the wifi adapter had Linux drivers for it.

Any suggestions, opinions and hate mail may go onto the comments and I'll be happy to read everything. It's just a matter of time before I get my s* together and start making even better videos.

Inspired by RandomGaminginHD and other Youtube channels in this vein.
The cost turned out to $300 because I live in Brazil and PC parts are generally more expensive here, the $300 figure includes the monitor I used.

The full specs are:
i5 2310
RX 570
16GBs of DDR3 RAM at 1600mhz
A Duex H61 m.2 motherboard
a KCAS 500w 80 plus bronze PSU.
Generic wifi adapter
Generic bluetooth adapter
A Samsung SyncMaster 933 monitor running at 1080p (above its maximum resolution but who cares).

Thanks for reading and watching!
Have a good one lads and lasses.
