RE: Eclipse - In The Line of Totality Buffalo NY

Here they didn't issue a state of emergency, but our area was only in the 94% area. However, in several small towns they declared a state of emergency, but I don't think they even had a lot of people show up. There were so many areas close to the bigger cities they could go. As a matter of fact, Dallas/Fort Worth, Austin, and Waco were all in the 100% area. San Antonio was right on the edge of it.

We had rain and clouds, though.

I've been able to see both total and annular eclipses, but never in the 100% area.

Lots of clouds here too :( We got a nice break right at totality though, I'm so bummed I didn't get a picture.

It's pretty wild when it gets dark like that. It affected me a little more than I thought it would. I think this was the first time for me in the 100% area. It was a pretty cool experience to see it go dark like that and everyone cheering in the neighborhood. It was really eerie.
