Walking After Eating May Be Better Than the Gym
There are actually a whole lot of things that are many of the times we did not even know that it is very important to our health. There is a popular misconception that seems to have been painted to our present world nowadays and that is, people always think that what will actually make them fit is when they spend many hours in the gym either lifting heavy weight or making use of treadmill. But the research I have come to discover is that sometimes, taking a walk can be much more efficient than spending time in the gym.
Don't get me wrong, it is good to go to the gym and try to practice out but sometimes, you actually need to utilise the power of gentle movement. There is actually a need for us to exercise immediately we eat finish. When I am talking about exercise, I don't necessarily mean severe exercise. I was also a victim of this, most of the time, whenever I finish eating, either I sleep off or probably I just lay down. Everytime we eat, our blood sugar level always rises and if we just sit or lie down like that, our blood sugar will continue to be high which at the end of the day can cause health issues like diabetes or even heart diseases.
But immediately you finished eating, you should try to take a walk even if it is just 10 minutes, it will help your muscle to actually absorb those sugar instead of it rising to have a high blood sugar level. For me, this is something that the gym will not give instantly. And the issue or beauty of it is that even though you can go to the gym, it will affect your body because the type of exercise that will be done in the gym will be much more complicated and tedious which might not be good for your body system most especially when you consider that you just finished eating.
Not only that, walking immediately after eating for few minutes have actually been proven that it helps digestion of the food. The reason why people experience constipation most especially when they eat large meal is because their intestine feels less efficient and causes ingestion. But with the proper little exercise like walking, it will help to aid digestion like heartburn, and generally a lot of things. This is something that a gym workout will not be able to give.
The next one is that by engaging in walking, it actually helps you to burn calories in your body. Now let me create the balance, I am not saying that by working in the gym, you are still definitely going to burn calories but when you engage in light exercise like walking, it will help to reduce the calories with stress. And it has been medically proven that when you actually burn unnecessary calories from your body, it helps to remove some unnecessary things from your body that might have been harmful to your body system.
As I conclude, walking also reduce the expenses that you should have spend if you have actually gone to the gym and that is why you must always practice it. Walking after eating is for every everyone whether you are a busy person or not. I also wished I had actually come across it many years ago but it is not always too late.
