Is Your Phone Slowly Destroying Your Mental Health?

We are living in the digital age and which has increases the rate at which we make use of some certain gadget and get glued to our smartphones every blessed day. Daily, it is evidently looking like our world is been built all around the internet world and it is very true. In fact, daily it is looking like our daily life is getting inconvenient if we are not making use of our smartphones.

But the bitter truth that many of us always run away from is to acknowledge that phones or smartphones are really causing more harm to us than good. In fact, I have tested and seen that our smartphones is affecting our mental health. Of course, anything that have advantages will definitely have disadvantages. Of course it might not come out directly that it is affecting us but the more we focus so much on the use of phone most especially when it comes to the social media world, trust me, the more it is really affecting our mental health.

One of the aspect of mental health Affected the more we make use of our smartphones is the aspect of anxiety. You must have experience this that most of the time, the more we actually make use of our phones, we are bound to receive more notifications, more messages and those messages sometimes can really cause this overstimulation deep within us.

Another cause of smartphones that is getting quite evident is the aspect of depression. In fact, it is getting so rampant now because we are living in the social media era. Due to the pressure on social media, people mental health have been affected. In a bid to compare themselves with their peers on social media, try to measure others success and much more, that feeling of inadequacy and inferiority has really affected a whole lot of people out there and this is leading to cases of depression.

I will also like to talk about this because that was actually what I noticed affected me around two years go. The more you use your phone, you will be exposed to excessive screen time which can affect your sleep time and even affect your eyes. It will start affecting your eye because the blue light will be straining your eyes if you are not careful and which can lead to something dangerous. All these things are what we did not pay attention to when using our phones that later come back to actually haunt us.

Now let me actually strike the balance, I am not saying you should not actually make use of your smartphones. In fact we live in a world whereby we can not do without our smartphones any longer. But nevertheless, always make sure that you pay attention to your health most especially your mental health when making use of your smartphones. Anything that will affect your mental health as you are using your smartphones, run from it.
There are actually some people that are suffering from the side effects currently that they wish they knew how to manage the use of their smartphones at a very early stage. I have learnt earlier that health is wealth.
