when traveling we don't have much of a choice but to use a small screen. Even on my predator the screen was quite limited. A friend of mine recently showed me his portable external monitor that plugs in via USB. It was very thin and seemed quite breakable but he told me it was only around $100. I may have to get one of those. It didn't need it's own power source either as it is charged by the USB. So that eliminated the need for another bulky adaptor.

I have one like that. I use it in my office and I bought one for our business director. The only problem with it is it takes up two USB ports. I'm sure the newer ones use USB-C, but a lot of laptops these days ports are at a premium. I used to have Dell XPS 17" gaming laptop. That thing was like a boat anchor. Desktop replacement I think they called them.
