A Weekend That Feels Like Breathing Again

Come to think of it, let's say I have the ability to come up with my perfect weekend; I will not do what everyone does, like throwing a loud party full of drama. It would not be about spending time in the club, or traveling around the world, or even spending money like a drug lord. Just as simple as I am, that is how my weekend also would be. Just the type of weekend that will make me breathe like a woman again and make you feel lighter.

The first thing I will definitely do is switch off all my phone alarms and allow my body to take all the rest it needs and wake itself after it has gotten enough rest. I will start my morning with no disturbance from anyone of that type, where a lot of people are still struggling with whether to get prepared for the day or still sleep a bit more. I'd stay outside my compound with a light cloth on to feel the natural breeze as I get the first sunlight from the sun.

But later in the day, I will go and chill with my guys, who are always there for me. Maybe play some games together while we have a nice discussion as we laugh very hard until we forget our worries. No forced discussion, no fake vibes, just genuine and real conversations of being in the midst of people who understand me without having to explain myself too much.

Then I will use the rest of the day to think deeply, write down a few things, and get ready for the next day. I will definitely take my phone far away from me because that alone could be noisy and distracting. I definitely want a weekend that I used to have back in the days when my only worries were to have fun, eat Mama's food, and sleep peacefully without disturbance.

And after having a fulfilling weekend, I'd definitely pray to God for the gift of life, protection, provision, and peace of mind. Then I have a peaceful night's rest like a baby on my big bed.

And if I look at it from my perspective, it is not until everything is luxury that someone can have a perfect weekend. Once there is freedom, zero stress, and peace, I am telling you, the weekend is a luxury already, and that is when I can feel like a human again with no pressure.
